Begin with the duty cycle
Map distance, payload, idle time, return-to-base windows and seasonal peaks for each vehicle group. These facts define the usable charging window and the minimum energy that must be delivered.
Treat power as a programme dependency
Sanctioned load, connection lead time, transformer capacity and civil work can determine the project schedule. A phased charging design can reduce early capital exposure while keeping expansion practical.
Model the full transition
Compare vehicle premiums, charging infrastructure, energy, maintenance, uptime and operational contingencies across a realistic horizon. Pilot data should replace assumptions as soon as it becomes available.
